Keralappiravi3rd – November 2017
Every birth is special. 1st November
1956, between the Southern Coast and frontiers of Western Ghats of the Indian
Peninsula, combining and unifying the provinces of Travancore, Kochi and
Malabar, State Kerala was born. Today, after more than six decades, Kerala is
one of the most developed states in India.
On 3rd November, we, the proud children
of this sacred land, fondly referred as the God’s
Own Country, celebrated her birthday and feats of achievement.
Mr. Sivapresad N., the staff secretary, in his short
message exhorted the students to always respect and honour the unique culture
and tradition of our mother land. It was followed by “Kaviyarangu,” an initiative of the Department of Malayalam, in
which students and teachers recited their poems in deep, resounding and
rhythmic voice. There were also other innovative and entertaining events such
as tongue twisters, Kerala quiz and speaking about a given topic continuously
for two minutes completely in Malayalam. The programme concluded with National
Anthem.
