PTA General Body 2016-17

The first PTA general body of the academic year 2016-17 held at 01:30 pm on September 29, 2016. Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, Head of Girijyothi Group of Institutions, inaugurated the meeting. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal, Girijyothi College, welcomed the parents and introduced the college, CMI congregation, management, rules and regulations clearly. A team from South Indian Bank, under the leadership of Mr. Arun, Manager, Idukki branch presented the details of paying fee through bank. Parents were happy to hear the details of such modern developments. It is unanimously decided to make college fee payment through bank from next semester (second and third) onwards. Parents were happy about the developments and working style of the college. Certain students participated in the Management Fest conducted at St. Joseph’s College, Moolamattam. The Business Quiz and Treasure Hunting teams bagged third prizes and teams for Best Management and Photography received participation certificates. Participants were: Eric Mascarhas, Sunny Sudam, Jibin Jose, Josekutty Siby, Thomas PB, Beema Yoosuf, Vishnumaya Murali and Ashik Jose. The prizes and certificates were distributed by Rev. Fr. Babu during the meeting.

There after the first meeting of the executive committee was conducted. Former PTA officials were honoured with gratitude.  A copy of study time table for students on class days, holidays and study leave was distributed. Parents have gone through the progress report of their children and interacted with teachers. The meeting ended at 01:30 pm.
