College Union Inauguration and Oath Taking

Girijyothi College Union inauguration and Oath taking ceremony took place on 28^th September 2016 at 3.00 pm in the college auditorium. Second year B.A Economics student Ms. Amala John, the outgoing Vice Chairperson, welcomed the gathering. Followed by it the Oath taking ceremony took place. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI,Principal, Girijyothi College initiated the Oath for the Union Members. The ceremony started with Mr. Steffin George, the newly elected Chairman. He took the Oath and took charge of the office of the Chairman.

Ms. Akshara Johny, Vice Chairperson, Mr.  Amal John, General Secretary, Mr. Gokul J Menon Arts Club Secretary, Ms. Anu Babu, Magazine Editor, and First Year Representative, Mr. Eric Mascarenhas, Second Year Representative, Mr. Anadhu Soman, Second Year Lady Representative, Ms.  Jovalna Jolly and First Year Lady Representative, Ms. Dani Wilson took their Oath for the academic year  2016-17.

Sri. Mukesh Mohan, Member, State Youth Welfare Board was the chief guest of the function. By lighting the lamp he inaugurated the programme and delivered an inspiring speech. He also asked the union to instill novelty in their activities.

 Mr. Steffin George, the new college union chairman, delivered the presidential address. Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, head of Girijyothi Group of Institutions, Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal, Girijyothi College, Ms. Sobhanakumari, Academic Coordinator, and Mr. Ebin Paulose former college union chairman felicitated the gathering.

Ms. Akshara Johny, the vice chairperson, delivered the vote of thanks and the session came to an end exactly at 04.00 pm with National Anthem.
