Easter Breakfast

Girijyothi College arranged an inter-religious breakfast on Easter Sunday (March 27, 2016). It was named as “Uyirppu Prathal.” Representatives of Hindu-Christian-Muslim religions, elected members of panchayaths and media representatives were present for the function. District Collector Dr. A. Kowsigan IAS honoured the programme with his distinguished presence. Sharing of religious fraternity, human brotherhood and inter-faith tolerance were the main concerns of the gathering. It was the first initiative in Cheruthoni to foster religious harmony. Participants were very much interested and requested such gatherings in future. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal, Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, Manager, were the chief coordinators. Hameed Baquafi Moulavi, Jalaludeen, MD Arjunan, Dr. P.C. Ravindranath and P. Rajan collaborated with us to organize the event successfully.
