Workshop on Case Teaching and Research Methodology for Teaching Faculty
Girijyothi college conducted  a one  day workshop on ‘ Case  Teaching and Research Methodology’  in collaboration with ICIER (International Consortium for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research) on 21 October 2015. The dignitaries were welcomed by Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal and  Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI,  Head of Girijyothi group of Institutions, felicitated the gathering. Dr. Shanthimol M C, Professor, Government College, Kattappana, inaugurated the workshop. Mr. P K Thomas, Co-founder and Coordinator of ICIER spoke on the relevance of case studies and its diverse implications. He made it clear what a case study is and how to do an effective study and  feasibly around our society. He also emphasized that the thinking pattern of the students can be pruned by making them practice the methodology of case study.
The afternoon session was taken over by Dr. Princy Thomas, Faculty, Christ University, Bangalore and she spoke about various  Research Methodology and  types of researches. The session lasted for two hours and she shared various features of Research. She also highlighted the importance of doing a Research study for future pedagogical endeavor. The Workshop winded up with Ms. Bincy Varghese, faculty of Economics, extending gratitude to the speakers of the day, the audience and also for the dynamic management of the entire workshop.
