Chakravyuh -2015 : An Intercollegiate Debate Competition

An inter collegiate Debate competition, Chakravyuh 2K15, on the topic ‘Protection of Western Ghats and  the apprehension of the inhabitants in High range,’ was conducted on 19^th October 2015 at college auditorium. The competition was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. John Thalachira CMI, Vicar Provincial, Carmel Province, Muvatupuzha. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI , Principal, welcomed the dignitaries and others. Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, Head of Girijyothi Group of Institutions, felicitated on the occasion. Mr. Justine V.L., Faculty of Malayalam, instructed the teams and moderated the session.

Eight teams had turned up from various colleges and the debate started off with burst of arguments and counter arguments. Each team was given ten minutes each. The debate commenced at 01:00 pm and lasted for two hours. The Chakravyuh of arguments came to an end like a stormy rain finishes. At the end juges made their observations and handed over the results to the college officials. Rev. Fr. Vineeth Vazhekudiyil CMI, Calvary High School, Calvarymount, Mr. Binoy Madathil, PA to MP, Idukki, Mrs. Rosakutty Abraham, Secretary Women’s council, Idukki were constituted the judging panel. Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI honoured the winners and participants by presenting ever rolling trophies and certificates.
