College Day - Srishti 2k18 - 28^th February 2018

The 3^rd College Day was celebrated on 28^th February 2018 at Girijyothi College, Cheruthoni. Ms. Dani Wilson, Vice Chairperson, Girijyothi College, welcomed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Saju Chakkalackal CMI, General Councilor for Pastoral Ministry, CMI Congregation, delivered the presidential address. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal of the college presented the annual report of the year 2017-2018. Mr. Sidharthan T.B, General Secretary, College Union, presented the annual report of the college union for the year 2017-2018.

Mr. John Kaippilly, Cine artist, was the chief guest and he  inaugurated, Srishti 2k18, the college day functions. He emphasized students that planning, strong will and determination are the essential requirements to fulfill their objectives and to succeed in life. Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, Manager Girijyothi College, Rev. Fr. Biju Vettukallel CMI, Principal Girijyothi CMI Public School and Mr. Sivaprasad N Staff Secretary, offered felicitations.  College Manager presented the memento to the chief guest and Rev. Dr. Saju Chakkalackal CMI.

 Ms. Jyothimol NR was elected as the best teacher of the year and honoured with trophy. Ms. Akshara Johny, 3^rd year B.Com F&T student was honoured as the best outgoing student of the year. Prizes were given to the students who won prizes in various cultural,literary and sports events. Arts and sports champions were declared and given trophies. Special awards were given to the staff members whose hard work produced hundred percent results in their subjects during university examinations.

The Girijyothi Media Club was inaugurated on this occasion. College promo video and a short film prepared by media club were also released in this occasion.

Mr. Sajailal Saji, college union chairman, proposed vote of thanks. In the afternoon section cultural activities of students’ staged with high voltage of energy . The programme ended with national anthem.
