Career Orientation and
Interview Training – 5th January 2018
As an institution which puts the
academic excellence of our students above everything else, we do everything in
our capacity to maintain our envious educational standards. But we also
understand that no education is meaningful if it is incapable of providing
students with their daily bread. In other words, education that doesn’t get
them a job is, in most cases, pointless.
To this effect a very rewarding session
of Interview Training was organised by Girijyothi Placement Cell comprising of
Mr. Mohan Chacko, Ms. Sobhana Kumari KS, Ms. Anit K Jose, Mr. Sivapraasad N and
Mr. Mathukutty K M. The presentation began with a conference presided over by
Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal, Girijyothi College. Mr. Sivaprasad
N, Staff Secretary, and Ms. Shobana Kumari KS, academic co-ordinator, and student
representative Mr. Eric Mascarenhas also addressed the congregation of students
emphasising the need for preparing for interviews.
The session was conducted by Col. (Retd)
Chandra Mohan Unnithan who has several years of experience in career counselling
and training. He also provided guidelines to students as to how to get employed
in reputed companies and the three different wings of Indian Military viz.
Army, Navy and Airforce, besides sharing his insights gained through his
experience as a military personal. The meeting formally came to an end when
Rev. F.r Babu Mattathil CMI, Manager Girijyothi College presented Col. Unnithan
with a memento.
