A New Year – A New Beginning – 1st June 2017

1st June, 2017 - the students of Girijyothi College made their way back to the prestigious institution for the first time in about after sixty days holidays. The semi-circular corridors, which had hitherto been silent, reverberated with the voices of the overjoyed students. The newly laid courtyard, oddly resembling a chess board with its black and white tiles, throbbed beats of contentment after ending its yearning for being trodden over. The ACP work really boosted the beauty of the building. The newly tarred road made the journey smooth.

There were new faces – among the members of staff, both teaching and non-teaching. The depth and breadth of the faculty has been enhanced with new additions. All were received a warm welcome and fondly introduced by Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, the Principal, to the student community.

After a “brief period of familiarisation” between teachers and students, it was business as usual – teaching and learning, the divine act of imparting knowledge.

Thus we began our first Academic-Day, and the College sprang to life awakening from its two-month long slumber.
