ENVIRONMENTAL   DAY   PROGRAMME

On Tuesday (07/06/2016) Girijyothi College, Cheruthoni conducted the environmental day programs. As a part of the function the college conducted slogan writing and poetry writing competitions for the students.

The function started exactly at 1:20 pm. Ms.Nivya Tom of the commerce department acted as the Master of Ceremonies. The function started with a silent prayer. Ms Giss George of the Commerce department welcomed the gathering. After the welcome ceremonies, Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, Manager and Head of Girijyothi Group of Institutions, inaugurated the function and shared his views on Environmental protection. It was followed by the ceremony of planting the tree by Rev. Fr. George Kalachirayil CMI, from Germany. Later the winner of the competition was announced by Fr.Babu Mattathil. Members of group one bagged the prize. They were awarded with a sapling by the principal Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI. During the ceremony the prize winning poetry was recited.
