Manager’s Day Celebration

Girijyothi College celebrated manager’s day on 29^th January 2016. This was a day designated to honour the manager, Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, for guiding the institution successfully. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Representatives from both teachers and students expressed their heartiest gratitude and appreciation to the manager. He was described as a man of simplicity, humbleness and integrity by the speakers. Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI presented a memento to the manager as a token of appreciation for his sincere effort and support. The first session of the programme concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ebin Paulose, college chairman.

            In order to make the manager’s day meaningful and innovative, the students of the college arranged an interaction programme with District- Block - Grama Panchayath members. This session was commenced by 2.30 pm at the college auditorium. Mr. Roshy Augustine, MLA, inaugurated the function. Students divided the topics into six major sections such as education, tourism, transportation, agriculture, social and entrepreneurship. The invited members from various panchayaths responded positively to most of the proposals made by the students. Sri. Roshy Augustine, MLA, Sri. Tomy Joseph, Vice-President Grama Panchayath, Mr. Noble Joseph, Member, District Panchayath, Mrs. Moly Dominic, Member, District Panchayath, Mrs. Tintu Subhash, Member, Block Panchayath, Sri. Jalaludheen, Member of Grama Panchayath, and other members positively interacted in the discussion. After the discussions Sri. Roshy Augustine, MLA, former university player, found time to play volley ball with our students.
