Debate on How  Addiction Shackles the Young Generation

A debate competition was conducted at College Auditorium on 30^th September at 03:00 pm, on the topic, “ How Addiction Shackles the Young Generation”. Mr. Justin V.L was the Moderator.  Rev. Fr. Babu Mattathil CMI, head of Girijyothi Group of Institutions, inaugurated the competition with an insightful speech. Moderator instructed the Teams and welcomed the judges namely, Ms Bincy Varghese, Ms Viji Thomas and Ms Jyothimol N R.

Debate competition started with four teams. It lasted an hour and they made fiery speeches on the problems of narcotic addition. They substantiated their arguments with theory and solid examples from daily lives. It was really a good beginning and teachers could understand the stuff of their students. The Debate came to an end, with vote of thanks by Mrs. Shobha Iyer, faculty of Commerce, followed by the National Anthem.
