Inter College Football Tournament - 19^th December 2017

Cheruthoni and its surrounding locales are well renowned for budding football talents and we do everything in our capacity to nourish and nurture these young prodigies.

In association with South Indian Bank, Idukki, one day inter collegiate football tournament was staged on Tuesday, the 19^th December. There were several noteworthy teams who entered the competition and the tournament witnessed some scintillating performances. After some quite mesmerising display, in the final versus St Joseph College, Moolamattom, St Joseph Academy, Moolamattom was crowned winners and bagged the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 6000. The prizes were distributed by Rev Fr Babu Mattathil, Manager, Girijyothi College, and Mr. Arun MV, Manager, South Indian Bank, Idukki.

In addition to the grand prizes for the champions and runners up, there were also quite a handful of individual awards for best player, best goal keeper, top scorer to name a few. Our sponsors for these prizes included Arun Studio, Seena Textiles, Addition, Minnoos Bakery, SRM Restaurant, Safiya Steel House, Renu Sasi, Elganso and Royal Bakery.
