Independence Day Celebration – 16th August 2017

Girijyothi College celebrated the Independence Day by paying homage to the warriors of the nation. The freedom we enjoy now was paid for with their blood. And it is from the soil drenched with sacrificial blood of our ancestors the new lives were born.

We respectfully acknowledge the sacrifices they have made and recognise that it is now our responsibility to make the best use of the freedom thus gained because we are not only proud citizens of our great nation, but also do everything in our capacity to uphold the principles and values that the predecessors have exhibited.

Rev. Fr. Toji Puthenkaduppil CMI, the Principal, hoisted the national flag and delivered the Independence Day message. Patriotic song and drawing competitions were also conducted with the intention of fostering patriotism among the students.
